PLAYOFF RULES - DIVISION 3 / NORTH ZONE
 

1/- Playoff games will be played in accordance with existing Lac St-Louis Youth soccer League division 3 rules.

2/- Every effort must be made to start games on time.

3/- The referee is authorized to adjust the length of the game to fit the time allowable to play as long as the total duration meets the minimum of one-half a regular game.

4/- Teams may call up players from the category preceding theirs ( i.e. F-16 calls up from F-14, M-14 calls up from M-13 etc… ) They may call up to 5 players and have a maximum of 15 players on their roster for the game. All called up players must have a valid division 3 local passport

5/- In the event of a tied game during the fest (semi-finals only), a penalty shootout will proceed immediately to determine the winner. No overtime will be played, except for the final where 2 halves of 10 minutes will be played
followed by a penalty shootout if required.

6/- Only players on the field of play at the conclusion of normal play will be entitled to participate in the shootout. Substitutes on the bench cannot participate in the shootout and must remain on the bench.

7/- The choice of which team shoots first will be decided by the toss of a coin, the winner of the toss taking the first kick.

8/- Teams will shoot alternatively

9/- All of the first five players must shoot unless it is impossible for one team to tie.

10/- In the event of a tie, the shootout will proceed to the remaining players and will become sudden death.

11/- If, after all eligible players on the team have taken a kick, the score remains tied, players will kick again, the format remaining sudden death.

12/- All division 3 north zone teams will play four games randomly selected:
- - Standings will be kept to determine the fest participants.
- - Points are allowed as follows:
- 3 points for a win
- 1 point for a tie
- 0 point for a loss

13/- Playoffs standing shall be determined by points gained.

14/- The first four teams from each category will play in the fest. The team with the most points will be in first place and will meet the team in fourth place. The second team with most points will meet the third team with most points.
Finalists will be the winners of the two above games and will play for the gold and silver medals. The teams defeated in the semi-finals will play for the bronze medal.

15/- In the event of a tie at the playoffs, the final playoffs standings will be determined by the following:
- Differences between the goals for and against between all tied teams.
- Least goals against between all tied teams.
If a tie still persists, playoffs committee will decide formula to determine position.

16/- The two Coaches must call in results {(514) 624-8981} of the playoffs game immediately after the game.

The two coaches must mention the game number, category, teams names and score for each team.

The Referee must call and mention yellow or red cards given during the game (please do not forget to mention to whom the card was given). The number to call is (514) 624-8981.

Game sheets must be given by the referee to the referee in chief of each association.
